You will find a relaxing setting where you and your friends can bring your own drinks and nibbles and sit back and enjoy a great range of quality film programming including the best of the recent releases. Whether you come as individuals or in a group, we have a set-up to suit everyone. The normal standards of viewing will continue, with lights down and surround sound without distractions, but in a totally relaxed environment.
Yelverton Cinema is an arm of the Yelverton Community Projects Charity, run entirely by volunteers and dedicated members of the local community. The aim of the project is to bring the cinema experience to people living in Yelverton and the surrounding area. The cinema has already proved to be a valuable resource for local residents, helping to reinforce a sense of community. We offer something different and more personal than the regular cinema experience.
There is a warm welcome, reasonably priced admission at £5.00, comfortable seating, homemade refreshments available and a chance to get involved in any aspect of our community cinema.
Situated at St Paul's Church hall, the cinema is a minute's walk from the roundabout at Yelverton, making it accessible to people travelling by public transport and car. The hall has been fully equipped with the latest cinema technology, including surround sound and blu-ray projection in order to offer the best possible cinema experience.
Café Style Cinema Performances - Saturday Evenings
Doors open at 7:15pm
Please feel free to bring-your-own drinks and nibbles. Alternatively, light refreshments will be available for purchase (tea, coffee, homemade biscuits). The hall will be set out predominately with tables, but a few rows of chairs will be available as well.
Film starts at 8:00pm
Admission £5.00, pay on the door.
We don't do advance ticket sales or reservations, our advice would be to arrive as early as possible.
Yelverton Children's Cinema
We regret that after 10 years of screening regular Saturday films for our younger viewers, we have taken the decision that it is no longer viable. As always we would be happy to offer our patrons the opportunity to hire the hall, with the option of showing a film. Pre-COVID, many children’s parties had been accommodated. Please feel free to contact the cinema team via the Contact Form.
alt. cinema
We hope to start alt. cinema screenings again, but currently have a shortage of volunteers. A monthly film screening for discerning cinema lovers! Building on the success of the Café Cinema at St Paul’s we want to broaden our appeal with an alternative programme that moves away from the mainstream.
