Dear Yelverton Cinema audience

We are welcoming back our valued viewers after many months away. We are returning to monthly Café Cinema screenings from 19th September. We will be using our umbrella licence to reduce costs which means we cannot advertise the film here. We are taking every possible precaution to keep our patrons safe and have put in place many new protocols, prioritising the health and safety of all those attending. Most of these precautions you will be very familiar with by now, but you will be able to read them here shortly.

Therefore, we will need to reduce our capacity significantly and we will be operating a new, hopefully temporary, booking system. If you would like to join us on the 19th September, you will need to be a cinema subscriber, you can subscribe at the bottom of this page. Booking will only be possible by replying to the booking message, sent to all subscribers, stating the number of tickets you wish to reserve, (maximum of 4), we will then seat 4 viewers per table. We will be operating a ‘first come, first served’ system, where you will receive an email confirming your tickets from one of our volunteers.

We will operate a reserve list and if you have successfully obtained tickets but are subsequently unable to attend, please let us know as soon as you can.

Tickets will need to be picked up on the night before 7:45pm, although you are welcome to arrive any time after 7:15pm, when the doors will open.

We have increased the entrance fee to £5 each, our first price rise since opening 10 years ago. We are only accepting EXACT cash payments on the door. Sadly, we will not be able to serve refreshments at the moment, we are encouraging you instead to BYO refreshments.

In accordance with government guidelines, we are also asking everyone to wear a face covering throughout the visit to the cinema, apart from when eating and drinking. We hope to see you on the 19th September or at one of our screenings in the near future.

With best wishes
Yelverton Cinema Team

Yelverton Children's Cinema - Saturday Mornings or Afternoons

We have an afternoon screening of films aimed at slightly older children who might have outgrown what we show on a Saturday morning. Morning and afternoon screenings will alternate. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Refreshments will be available for adults and children in the form of ice cream, pop corn, juices, tea, coffee and homemade cakes. The full film programme is available in the local magazines Moor Links, Around and About and Outreach, use the Contact Form for any enquires, or you can keep up-to-date with all performances by subscribing to our Mailing List.

Suggested donation £2 per child, adults free

The Children’s Cinema takes a summer break during June, July and August then returns in September. In December we will have a special family screening.
